Zalbak, God of Eternal Flame (業火の神ザルバック, God of Hellfire Zalbak) is the final boss of Lufia: The Legend Returns.
Profile[]
After the heroes defeat Erim for the last time, Daos's spirit appears and summons Zalbak, stating that it will absorb Erim to become the Ultimate Sinistral. After doing so, Zalbak unleashes his fiery wrath upon the world, but is prevented from harming the towns by Erim. He then goes to the top of Doom Island. There, he fights against the heroes at the Fortress of Doom, but is ultimately defeated once and for all.
Strategy[]
As the final boss of the game, Zalbak is a tougher foe than every enemy the party has faced so far, barring the Egg Dragon and Iris. He can attack as many as three times in a turn. His moves include Cakramdite, which hits all party members for decent damage; Spiritual Force of the Evil Flame, which causes many status effects to one character; Inferno, which reduces a character's HP to one; Mirror, which he uses both on himself and on party members; powerful magic attacks such as Zap, Ice Storm, Firebird, Reduce, and Storm; and stat-increasing magic such as Spell Break, Trick, and Fake. Zalbak also uses Strongest to heal himself when he is low on HP.
